Every dog we have would love a foster home while waiting for their forever home. The more fosters we have the more dogs we can take out of the shelter. Its a very rewarding experience for you and for the family.  Here is how it works.  A dog goes into your home on a temporary basis.  We cover everything, the food, the toys, the Vet bills etc.  All you do is let the dog stay with you during the week and bring the pet back to us every saturday for our adoption events from 11-3pm.  The primary reason the dog is with you, is to learn. You can teach the dog anything you wish.  Often times the foster families reaffirm leash walking skills, teach the dog to sit, use the doggie door, or become crate trained or housebroken.  The majority of our dogs have no issues and will be fine in any home.  Some people say...Oh, it would be to tough to let the dog go once it's in my house, I can't do it.  Yes, you can.  Remember its not about YOU, it's about the dog.  You are there for the dog.  We are people and think differently then animals.  When you see the dog learn a trick, sit for the first time, become housebroken and thrive as a well adjusted animal you have just helped the pet stay in their adoptive home forever.  It's so worth it. The kids will be fine and learn to help an animal and have responsibilities and feel like they have accomplished something. Kids learn that because of someones irresponsibility this pet is homeless and this is how kids can be a solution to the problem and give to others.  I have been fostering for 7 years and have loved all my foster dogs, and have let them all go.  They are so happy......  Stop on in, or shoot off an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
